Happy Turkey Day!

November 25, 2009

We had the  perfect photo shoot today with a family that loves the great outdoors and a bunch of TURKEYS….how appropriate!  Many thanks to Craig, Molly and Bishop for a great afternoon of photos.  I’m sure the boys would have rather been in a deer stand somewhere…such good sports!  Enjoy a sneak peek and have a blessed Thanksgiving.

Rain, Rain go away…

November 24, 2009

As a photographer you learn early on that the weather does not always cooperate and you must learn to improvise.  After rescheduling due to rain, this sweet  family drove into Selma for their outdoor session…any yes, it started to rain again!  Our new studio is about a week from being finished so we decided to set up a temporary studio in my grandmother’s living room and get what shots we could.  These children were such a joy…all so well behaved and cute as can be!  We’ll be traveling to them in the next few days to complete their session and get mom’s outdoor shots that she wanted.   Enjoy a sneak peak of this impromptu indoor session.

Nicole and Gage

November 17, 2009

Welcome little Ashton Gage!  We first met Gage a few months ago when he was still in mommy’s tummy.  Here is Gage and his mommy Nicole and his newborn session.   Congratulations Nicole and Tommy on your precious little boy.  Hugs and kisses to little Gage and Skyler!

Kate and Camden

November 7, 2009

Introducing beautiful Kate and precious little Camden.  Have you ever seen such gorgeous children?  Their heirloom clothes were made by their grandmother, Debe.  I’ve always loved French handsewn children’s clothing.  I remember when my first child was born, Debe arrived with a gift of Sara Howards Stone’s book of French handsewing for infants.  I learned how to “roll and whip” and I learned to appreciate fine swiss batiste and imported round thread laces.  My first born Henley wore all of the lace that I could put on a little boy.  I still have that old book.  It’s well worn now, full of handwritten measurements of all three of my children.  It’s a little treasure that I will one day hand down to my Mary Peyton.  Here is a little sneak peek of Kate and Camden.  Enjoy their precious little faces and their fine handsewn frocks.

How Photographers get their kids to pose…

October 19, 2009

A few football photos of my Parker.   I wanted to add these  ”macho” football photos to our portfolio for the seniors that are in the market for really cool different senior photos. I begged Parker for him to pose for these photos…down right PLEADED.  It was like pulling teeth!  Here is my Parker, my Pookie, my little monkey…. and his really cool football shots.

Attention all you photographer moms out there!  Spot your kid a 20 for gas money…they will do ANYTHING!

Your momma loves you, P!
